MORE ABOUT US

The Creative Center for Motherhood was conceived out of the idea that while mothers need an incredible amount of support during and after the pregnancy and postnatal time periods, they also need it to continue once this time period is over. After Rachel completed her Mommy & Me classes with her toddler, she found herself without a place to go to continue exploring the joys and challenges of motherhood. She found it hard to meet other mothers with which to create meaningful relationships. She wanted to create a space for mothers to come together to share their experiences, creating support and community throughout the lifespan of their motherhood journey.

When she came up with the idea, she shared it with her friend and Music Therapist, Melissa Sommers. Little did Rachel know that Melissa had been focusing her work on Music Therapy Assisted Childbirth and an interest in supporting mothers who have experienced miscarriage, infertility and adoption.

Together, they worked to bring The Creative Center for Motherhood to life! We welcome you and embrace you into our village.
